Method: what was read, how it is worked out, how it is checked

Sources, definitions, checks and the omissions that are deliberate.

Sources

The company pages of the PSX data portal, one per company, read 6 November 2026; the TradingView public screener, one request, as a second reading. From PSX: close and session date, last-day close price (LDCP), circuit-breaker band, 52-week range, P/E, market value, free float, the XD marker, annual earnings per share where printed, and the announcement titles with dates.

Sector labels and yield figures of the screener are not used.

Definitions

Change: close divided by previous close, minus one. Place in the 52-week range: (close − low) ÷ (high − low) times 100. Dividend as a percent of the close: amount ÷ close × 100, shown only as a formula table with example amounts.

Shares for a budget: the budget divided by the close, rounded down; remainder: the budget minus the value bought.

Checks

Every figure is recounted from the stored pages with separate code; the close must equal the second reading for all ten; for companies without the XD marker the change must agree to the second decimal; the LDCP must lie inside the circuit band. The check is tested with planted errors (a shifted close, a lowered high, a flipped change, a wrong place, a dropped XD marker), all of which are rejected.

Not updated automatically

The data was read once (6 November 2026). Every table names the session and read dates; a new reading rebuilds the pages and the dates change with the figures.

Left out on purpose

Dividend amounts and yields, tax rates, brokerage tariffs, forecasts and recommendations are not printed, because none is among the figures read. The announcement titles are listed; the documents behind them are not read.
